Editorial & sources policy

સંપાદકીય નીતિ

Accuracy is the whole point of exam preparation. This page explains how every post is chosen, written, verified and corrected.

01Our one rule: official sources only

Every fact in a post — names, numbers, dates, places, schemes — must be found on the website of the government department or official body that announced it. If we cannot find a fact on an official source, it does not go into the post.

Official sources include all .gov.in, .nic.in, .gov websites (for example Press Information Bureau, Gujarat Information Department, ministries, GPSC, GSSSB) and official bodies on other domains such as rbi.org.in, icar.org.in, csir.res.in, gujarattourism.com and international bodies like the UN and WHO.

02How we use news websites

Newspapers and news websites help us notice events, but they are never the source of a fact. When a post links to a trusted newspaper, it is listed as further reading only.

We never use coaching websites, Telegram channels or social media posts as sources.

03What we cover

  • Gujarat state events: government schemes, appointments, awards, budgets, places, culture and sports.
  • National and international events likely to be asked in GPSC, GSSSB, GPSSB, Police, UPSC, SSC and Railway exams.
  • Each post is tagged with the exams and syllabus topics it is most relevant to, based on official syllabi and past papers.

04How a post is written

Posts are written in English and Gujarati with exam-oriented key points, background, and practice MCQs. Drafts are prepared with the help of AI writing tools working only from the official sources, and every draft must pass verification before it can be published.

Every post lists the official sources it was written from, so you can check them yourself.

05Two rounds of verification

Before publishing, each draft goes through two independent verification rounds. Each round checks every fact in both the English and the Gujarati text against the official source. A draft that fails a round is corrected and checked again. Only drafts that pass both rounds can be published.

06Corrections

If you find an error, email [email protected] with the post link and, if possible, the official source. We check every report; confirmed errors are corrected in the post.

If an official source later changes (for example, a revised date or figure), we update the post to match.

07Independence

WebSankul Current Affairs is run by WebSankul Private Limited. We are not a government website and are not connected with any recruitment board. Ads shown on the service never change the content of a post.
