01Who we are
WebSankul Current Affairs (the website and the related apps) is operated by WebSankul Private Limited, 311, Shalin Galleria Complex, 3rd Floor, Sangeet Circle G-1, Gandhinagar, Gujarat 382006, India (“WebSankul”, “we”, “us”). This policy explains how we handle your personal data under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Information Technology Act, 2000 and its rules. By using the service you agree to this policy.
02Information we collect
You can read current affairs without an account. When you sign in or buy a plan, we collect:
- Account details — when you sign in with Google: your name, email address, profile photo and Google account ID. We never see your Google password.
- Study activity — articles you save, articles you open and how often, so we can show your history and suggest relevant exams and topics.
- Payments — the plan you bought, amount, order and receipt numbers, payment status and dates. Card, UPI and bank details are entered on Razorpay's secure page; we do not receive or store them.
- Support messages — what you write to us and any screenshots or files you attach.
- Device details — if you allow notifications in the app, a notification token and device type, and the exams and topics we infer from your reading to choose which notifications to send.
- Technical data — IP address, browser and device type, and server logs needed to keep the service secure and working.
03How we use it
- To create and secure your account and keep you signed in.
- To give you the features of your plan, process payments and issue receipts or GST invoices.
- To show your saved articles and reading history, and personalise notifications to your exams.
- To answer support requests and send important notices about your account or plan.
- To prevent fraud and misuse, fix problems and improve the service.
- To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.
06How long we keep it
We keep your account data while your account is active. When you ask us to delete your account, we delete or anonymise your personal data, except payment and invoice records, which we must keep for as long as tax and accounting laws require. Server logs are kept for a short period for security.
07Your rights
You can ask us to:
- tell you what personal data we hold about you and how it is used;
- correct or update it;
- delete your account and personal data;
- withdraw your consent — this may mean you can no longer use features that need an account.
Email [email protected] from your registered email address. You can turn off notifications at any time in your device settings.
08Children
If you are under 18, use the service and buy plans only with the consent and supervision of a parent or guardian. If a parent believes their child has given us data without consent, they can ask us to delete it.
09Security
We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure sign-in, access controls and trusted providers to protect your data. No system is completely secure, so please keep your Google account safe and tell us at once if you notice anything unusual.
